Two days a week I work in Downtown Los Angeles. Lately, I have been taking the MetroLink from the Santa Ana station to Union Station and I love it - I get two hours a day to work during my commute, be in the office for meetings, and beating the commute which is at least an hour each way driving.
It only adds that I am getting to walk through Union Station twice a day - the architecture of the main terminal is incredible. The wood, the carvings, the leather - it’s a time warp back to a Southern California glamour steeped with Spanish details; it is simple with touches of ornate details and it is gorgeous.
So here’s to a new file for when we find a Spanish bungalow that needs some love and I get to turn to the train station for all my inspiration.
