My love for an upholstered bed is not over. I still feel the pull of a light fabric lulling me to sleep every night.
Yet the lack of creativity that comes with throwing everything out and starting over has begun to creep in.
As I fake shopped my way through Restoration Hardware, I realized I did have a bed I loved - it was jus completely the wrong fabric and color.
So the bed that has started its life as a brown velvet tufted number with polished chrome nail heads is getting a new life - reupholstered in a oatmeal linen with oil rubbed bronze nail heads - all for the cool cool price of $950 instead of the $4,000 I was looking at.
Excited to post before and after - in the meantime, relish in on the before and during; during meaning Nate and I sleeping like we just graduated college and saddled with school debt but excited for what’s to come (translation: the mattress is on the floor but the bed is made).
